Pull the "Mail Menu to Preferences, then click the"Accounts" button.
Enter your username, (that's your whole email address), and your password. The "Full Name" is your real name.
The incoming mail server is mail.sbamug.com
Then click the "Server Settings" button, or pop up that menu to edit or add the SMTP server.
Our SMTP server mail.sbamug.com on port 587.
For now, leave SSL off,
auth type is password,
user ID is your whole email address again, and same password. Click OK.
Click into the "Advanced" tab, and make sure that the port number is 110 and SSL is NOT checked. Auth type is "Password" but other selections may also work. Click back to the "Account Information" tab.
OK, that's about it. Your email ought to be able to send & receive now. Give it a try. If it doesn't work right away, double check port numbers, mail server name, and your username & password. You can test that your password is correct at webmail http://webmail.sbamug.com
Change both POP & SMTP server names to mail.sbamug.com
Click "Advanced" tab , and set SSL on, and make sure the port number is 995. It should automatically adjust itself when you select SSL. Click back to "Account Information" tab.
Click the "Server Settings" tab and edit or add the STMP server like this. Server name is mail.sbamug.com
Port number is 465,
SSL is ON, and leave the rest as it is. Click OK.
OK, that's about it. Your email ought to be able to send & receive now. Give it a try. If it doesn't work right away, double check port numbers, mail server name, SSL settings, and your username & password. You can test that your password is correct at webmail http://webmail.sbamug.com
