Basic settings for SBAMUG POP mail:

Account type: POP
Description: username@sbamug.com
Email address: username@sbamug.com
Full Name: User Name (Your Real Name)
Incoming POP server: mail.sbamug.com
If asked, the POP server port is the usual 110
User Name: username@sbamug.com
password: ********
SMTP server: mail.sbamug.com Port 587, requires authentication.

You have a new SBAMUG.com mailbox and/or website.

Your username & password are probably as you requested. You received your username and password by email. Substitute in your own user name & your own password, as you received in the email, into the below instructions.

Here are the mail settings:

• your email address: username@sbamug.com
• pop mail server: mail.sbamug.com
• smtp mail server: mail.sbamug.com
  • Requires authentication (same as receiving server)
  • Port 587 or 25 (not 26)
    
• Optional & not necessary: See the detailed pages for the exact How To on setting up SSL secure connection to the mail server.

You can also access your email by the web at: http://webmail.sbamug.com

You can tell people that your Website URL is:
http://username.sbamug.com

If you get a lot of "list mail" or "eGroup" mail, and it's cluttering up your email InBox, you might like to know how to have those group emails sort themselves into a folder so you can look at them when you're ready, after reading the jokes & virus warnings your friends and family send you.
